

The safety of our cleaners is of paramount importance to our business. Making sure that each person returns home safely to their families after work is our key priority. Our goal is to make sure our staff have an awareness and understanding of issues regarding their own, their coworkers and your staffs health and safety.
To support this objective we developed Prime Group Worksafe.
Work Safe is the OHS management system of Prime Group which ensures the safety and security of our cleaners and clients. The safety management system covers and includes;
Pre employment safety training delivered through Prime Group University including;
1. OHS Rules and Regulations
2. Safe Chemical Usage
3. Equipment Safety
4. Safe Work Methods with a Key Focus on Manual Handling
5. Hazard Identification and Reporting Safety on the job
6. Incident reporting
7. Personal Protective Equipment
Workplace Risk Assessments: No Prime Group cleaner begins work on a client site without the completion of a Workplace Risk Assessment by the relevant operations manager. If a site does not pass then we engage with the client to remedy the hazards before job placement commences.
Job Safety Analysis & Safe Work Method Statements: All functions of Prime Group that have the potential to cause harm to our cleaners have an associated JSA and safe work method statement.
Tool Box Talks: Each quarter our operations management conduct safety talks with our staff to ensure their up to date with latest information. This also provides a forum for our staff to raise any safety issues or questions they may have.
Visible Information: Each cleaners room has a site manual which includes a full overview of OHS issues and policies, incident and hazard reporting forms, safe work practises posters and material safety data sheets (MSDS) for safe use of chemicals.
Accountability: All supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of Prime Group staff in their designated area. All employees have a responsibility to follow rules for safe operations and to report hazards to supervisors.
Work Safe also covers the security policies and standards of Prime Group. All cleaners in the business must have a Federal Police Check prior to job start to ensure the safety and security of our clients premises.
In short, if the environment or job function isn’t safe then a Prime Group cleaner will not be cleaning until it is.
